Blanche River Health (BRH) is proud to announce the launch of “Thankful Thursday,” a new initiative aimed at celebrating the
exceptional contributions of our staff. At least once a month, we will share stories of appreciation to highlight the dedication and hard work of our healthcare providers at both the Englehart and Kirkland Lake sites.
This program is an opportunity for patients, families, and community members to share their appreciation for our BRH team members, including physicians.
“Our staff work tirelessly to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our communities,” Jorge VanSlyke, President and Chief Executive Officer of Blanche River Health said. “Thankful Thursday is a meaningful way to recognize their efforts while also fostering open communication with the people we serve. Your words of encouragement can have a lasting impact.”
Staff members were surprised and greatly appreciative when the initial Thankful Thursday was posted, noting that hearing directly from those who they work so hard for meant more than the traditional recognition models.
“Employee recognition is vital to morale and retention,” said Debra Schenk, CHRL, Manager of Human Resources at BRH. “When we hear directly from our patients and their families, it reinforces the positive impact our team has on the community. It’s a wonderful way to connect and grow together.”
Blanche River Health is committed to making healthcare work for you. Join us in celebrating “Thankful Thursday” and share your story today online at blancheriverhealth.ca via the Feedback button or through the feedback forms available in hospital waiting areas.
